Curtis Cornell
Pianist & Music Educator
Curtis Cornell is a pianist and music educator with more than 22 years of experience at the piano. Over the course of his career he has taught hundreds of students and has performed around the world with a range of ensembles.
His teaching draws directly on that performing life. Playing with many different groups has given him a practical understanding of what music asks of a player in the moment — listening closely, adapting to the musicians around you, and contributing to the whole — and he brings that understanding into every lesson.
Through GrooveForte, Curtis shares that experience with musicians everywhere, offering lessons and resources in improvisation, technique, ear training and transcription. His aim is to help every student build the skill, confidence and musical understanding to find a voice of their own.
